Zazil Tunich is proud to have been awarded the Mexican Tourist Product Innovation Award in the "Meetings and Romance Tourism" category for our "Encounter in Xibalbá" project. This recognition was granted by the Federal Government of Mexico's Secretariat of Tourism (SECTUR) and the Mexico Visitors and Conventions Bureau (OFVC), in acknowledgment of our effort and dedication to offering unique and innovative experiences to our visitors.
Encounter in Xibalbá is a unique experience, based on Maya culture and located in Valladolid, Yucatán. It offers visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in the mystical "Cave of Xibalbá" and live an unforgettable experience in a natural and culturally rich environment.

MAYAN UNDERWORLD
Live a unique experience exploring the magical Mayan world.
In this experience you will enjoy a guided tour through a place full of history, where great events of the Mayan culture took place, where the stones tell their history, you will learn part of the Mayan Mythology through the Legend of Xibalba and its 9 levels to the Mayan Underworld in the company of our guide, On level 7, you will be part of a Mayan Purification Ceremony with a Xaman of the region, and then descend to the eighth and ninth level of the Mayan Underworld, where, with a purified body, you will be able to submerge yourself in the crystalline waters of a sacred cenote.
Adventurers looking for a unique experience should book their place on our tour for groups of maximum 20 people, where they can swim in the shallow water cenote and enjoy an exclusive atmosphere.
